CPRJ:CPRJ & AdsaleCPRJ.com reporter Meyer:Klaus Meyer, Sales Director of Windmöller & Hölscher, China / Taiwan
CPRJ: For W&H, what technologies will be displayed in CHINAPLAS 2010? What are the main features?
Meyer:On our information booth W&H is introducing the wealth of recent innovations shown on our in-house Expo last November such as: • new generation of 3 layer blown film lines OPTIMEX • Film cast film line FILMEX with Nano-layer technology • new AQUAREX blown film line with water cooling • MDO stretching line • new range of C.I. flexo and gravure presses
Also presented is our concept to provide innovative complete solutions from raw material to finished bag. For instance we have successfully supplied to China's petrochemical industry the following models for FFS packaging: VAREX blown film, Printing and converting line AD CONVERPRINT and FFS packer TOPAS.
CPRJ:What are the new strategies adopted by W&H that react to the changes caused by the economic crisis (in different regions and application industries)?
Meyer:W&H is optimistic about the future. As a technology leader, investing in technical innovations will make our production even more efficient and competitive. Many innovations which have now become standards in the industry were originally developed by W&H. We will continue in that tradition.
CPRJ:What are the goals and project works set by W&H in 2010?
Meyer:W&H will strengthen its position in China as market leader for the supply of blown film and cast film lines especially for barrier film.
CPRJ:How do you observe the new development trend of the film and packaging industry after 2010?
Meyer:We believe the China market is developing rapidly and there will be a growing demand for high quality packaging film which will require high quality machinery. W&H will have the right solutions.
(Note: With CHINAPLAS 2010 approaching, official media CPRJ, CPRJ International and AdsaleCPRJ.com are extending coverage by conducting interviews with exhibitors.)
