Werner Koch Maschinentechnik GmbH, the German supplier of complete peripheral systems for plastic processing, announces that its tried and tested machines and systems for dosing, conveying and drying plastic granulates at the exhibition CHINAPLAS 2011. Exhibits include pre-mixing system and dry-air dryers in CKT series.
CKT dry-air dryers dry plastic granulates to leave them with the optimum level of moisture. The standalone closed circuit which works completely and independently of the ambient climate - an efficient energy-saving system. Dry, warm air flows through the plastic granulate, absorbing moisture and releasing it to a desiccant agent.
When the desiccant is saturated, the air is redirected to a container of unsaturated desiccant that is standing by.
In the meantime, the saturated desiccant in the first container is regenerated with a heating system. A dew point energy saving program cuts energy costs by up to 45%. Calibrated devices only are used to measure the dew point and are fitted as standard in models with over 300m3 drying power. Drying containers for plastic material are available in sizes starting with 60 liter - through to 2,800 liter.
The dryer can be a part of an automatic central conveying system. Such a CCS can supply many polymer processing machines with many different plastic materials - from the storage place through to the processing machine. The representation of Koch will show on the booth an example of a conveying system model.
All bulk good differ in their size, shape, bulk density and pourability. The pre-mixers can homogenize the different components of plastics and other additives. The mixers work extremely effective and the results is very effective mixing even after just a short time, the company says.
Many materials with widely differing densities such as powder or grains, rod-shaped materials, scraps of foil, recycled granulate with a very high dust content can be mixed thoroughly with this pre-mixers.
The homogenized mixture then enters the intake screw of the processing machine without separating. The pre-mixers are compatible with the other dosing devices, feed devices and accessories from the company.
Koch will exhibit at booth number 5.1. A 51 during CHINAPLAS 2011.
