Kautex Maschinenbau, the Bonn based German extrusion blow molding machinery supplier, announces that it will present its KCC15D, a medium-scale blow molding machine at CHINAPLAS 2011.
The machine is reportedly designed as a double station and works with the latest extrusion blow-molding technology. It is equipped with a six-fold die head in two layer DeCo configuration. An extruder for the outside-layer gives constant optical picture and is said to save the use of masterbatch in overall consumption. The inside-layer can be used for the flash from the process, so as from other applications without any effect on the bottle outlook. The article conveyor system transfers the articles to a single exit point.
The machine can be used for all conventional blow-molding materials and consumer packaging, with sizes from 50 ml to approximately five litres. During production, an automatic weight scale device can check articles. With twelve cavities, the machine can process around 3,600 articles per hour.
According to the company, requirements on extrusion blow molding machinery are challenging. Particularly in the consumer sector, packaging producers require compact machinery solutions, with a high flexibility to produce packaging in a huge range of sizes and different materials. That is the market that this product is aimed at.
