At this year's CHINAPLAS in Guangzhou, Starlinger & Co GmbH, a specialist in the field of machinery and complete lines for woven plastic bag production, will showcase two of their latest machinery developments, the circular loom Omega 1000 HV and a fully automated conversion line MultiKON.
According to the company, Omega 1000HV is equipped with metal heddles and long-wearing ceramic segments to minimize intake friction during weaving and helps to prevent machine failure, thus reducing machine downtime and maintenance costs.
The automatically adjusted warp tension ensures minimal fabric width tolerances (especially with low-dernier tapes) and guarantees high fabric quality from 55-200g/m2. The working width is from 300-850mm for double flat or 600-1,700mm for flat fabric and a production speed of 1,000 picks/min.
Another exhibit, the MultiKON conversion line produces sewn fabric sacks (coated and uncoated) at a production speed of 55 sacks/min. Its modular design can meet individual production requirements of the customer.
Features such as the new fabric roll insertion device and the newly designed stacking station is said to ensure operator-friendly handling. The cutting (+/-1mm), folding and sewing operations are carried out with precision, which helps to reduce material input and lowers the reject rate. The fast top-feed sewing machine allows constant production output at speed.
