The much anticipated CHINAPLAS 2011 will kick start on May 17 for a four day period at China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China. The opening ceremony will be held at the Pearl Promenade outside exhibition hall 4.1 at 10am.
Entering its 25th edition, CHINAPLAS has further expanded to cover 180,000sq m of exhibition area, hosting more than 2,400 exhibitors from over 35 countries and regions.
Afterward the opening ceremony, another highlight of the show, "Beating Record by Recycling Bottles" will be held at the central podium at 10.45am. For this event, 3,528 used plastic bottles have already been collected to create six "recycling bottle tress". Exhibitors and visitors will be invited to join the event by handing in their used plastic bottles. The organizer, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, will apply for the Guinness World Record.
In view of the enthusiastic response of last year's Green Forum and the theme of "Green Plastics. Our Goal. Our Future", CHINAPLAS 2011 will hold three eco-friendly plastics conference to further introduce bioplastics and degradable plastics, recycling and energy saving issues.
