Rapid Granulator has added 500sqm of space to the test facilities at its headquarters in Bredaryd, Sweden. With a total floor space of over 1,100sqm and 9m ceiling height in most area, it is able to house the company's granulators of all sizes.
The investment is made of Rapid's new owner LIFCO, which acquired the company at the beginning of 2015.
"With all this added floor space, together with the extra height for cranes, we can build up and test complete production systems right here in our headquarters," said Dr. Toni Reftman, CEO of Rapid Granulator AB.
In addition to carrying out acceptance tests with customers and verification tests for new applications, the expanded test center will also be used for research and development.
"All our new developments will now be tested and verified without any interference in our manufacturing processes - which I am happy to say are currently fully occupied fulfilling orders," said Dr. Reftman. "This will give an important boost to our engineering capability and also to our sales force, who can now be a more integral part of the development process."
The test center will also serve as a hands-on education center for the Rapid sales team, its distribution network and customers.
"Customers can come and visit us on site, they can view what we are doing via web cam, or we can record everything and send them the file to look at when and where they want," added Dr. Reftman.
