Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco), a Qatar-based multinational joint venture producing fertilizers, steel, refined petroleum products and natural gas liquids, is committed to a policy of participating in international premier exhibitions, the last of which, has been the CHINAPLAS 2010 held from April 19 to 22.
Qapco has been a key participant in that international event as a leading producer and exporter of high quality ethylene and low-density polyethylene, two core raw materials for major plastic based industries.
On a gala party, held in the Shangri-La Hotel attended by more than 200 of Qapco's regional customers in China, the General Manager and Board member of Qapco, Dr Mohamed Yousef Al Mulla gave a speech in which, he pointed out the importance of China as a market for Qapco's products "Thanks to the huge and tremendous industrial output of China, it has become a main market for the products of Qapco", and noted that in order for Qapco to further strengthen its investments, and to promote its products in a growing market in China, "Qapco has opened four representative offices there in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Guangzhou."
Commenting on the global marketing network established by Qapco, Mr Abdurrahman Al Abdulla, the Group Manager Commercial and Marketing said that "Qapco has opened 26 representative offices around the world, through which, Qapco has established dynamic units that guarantee the greatest amount of customer satisfaction by means of prompt response to the needs of the customers to its products, and the immediate solution of any technical problems the customers might face while using these products, as well as building a customer database stating the requirements of each current and potential customer."
According to Mr Ahmed Al Emadi, the Sales Manager at Qapco, the stand of Qapco attracted over 2,000 visitors.
In the opening of the gala party, Mrs Mishael Al Ansari, the Public Relations Department Manager at Qapco, delivered the welcoming speech and thanked the guests' commitment to Qapco as long term customers. She said, "Qapco with its stand at the exhibition this year enhanced its commitment to the quality and protection of the environment. The "Four Seasons" theme implemented in the design of the stand highlights Qapco's environment friendly products".
