CHINAPLAS 2011 will be staged at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province of China, from May 17 to 20 next year by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.
Expectations on CHINAPLAS 2011 are high, because the Asian and China markets in particular are among the first to recover from the global financial crisis, while the very well-received CHINAPLAS 2010 in Shanghai has obtained encouraging results.
An exhibitor survey conducted during the show indicated that 94.1% respondents rated the visitor quality as satisfactory to excellent, while 72% concluded the exhibition result as satisfactory to very fruitful.
CHINAPLAS 2010 recorded the highest number of visitors and largest exhibition area in history. According to Ada Leung, Assistant General Manager - Sales & Marketing, Adsale, the number of visitor delegations sent to Shanghai was around 100. In addition, the onsite business matching service collaborated with hc360.com successfully lined up deals worth RMB100 million. And some of the “Green Forums on Green Plastics & Rubber” that Adsale organized were extremely popular, she said.
CHINAPLAS 2011: an even bigger occasion
CHINAPLAS 2011 will maintain its track record as a growing exhibition. The total area of the exhibition will be extended to over 160,000 square meters, which is even bigger than the historical Shanghai edition this year. Comparing the edition of 2009 in the same venue (Pazhou Complex, totalling 140,000 square meters), the exhibition area in 2011 will be expanded by 14.29%.
CHINAPLAS 2011 will include new exhibition theme zones | According to Vikki Yu, Deputy Project Manager of Adsale, CHINAPLAS 2011 will occupy 20 halls (all indoor) in Zone A and Zone B of the Pazhou Complex. “Some of the new exhibitors in CHINAPLAS 2010 have shown great interest to come back in 2011, they are committed to bringing more machinery to the exhibition, and we can find more space for them in the indoor halls at Pazhou Complex.”
The increased exhibition area will come with more theme zones. The organizer will set up a new zone named “Supporting Service Zone” for service providers in upstream/downstream businesses, for example, industrial park rental, commodity exchange or legal services consultation. “This will help visitors in easier sourcing and enable exhibitors to promote their corporate identity more effectively,” said Vikki Yu.
“The theme in CHINAPLAS 2010 – ‘Green Plastics, Our Goal, Our Future’ was a huge hit among visitors and exhibitors. There were plenty of technology applications aiming to improve energy efficiency,” Ada Leung recalled. CHINAPLAS 2011 will continue to have concurrent events built around this topic, she said. Conferences and forums discussing the latest green innovations will be staged with special focus on topics like bioplastics, degradable plastics and energy saving.
Attention will be drawn specifically to the automotive sector. Southern China is traditionally a stronghold for auto production in China. Toyota and Honda are just some of the international brands which started operations in Guangdong Province long time ago.
To mark the 25th edition of CHINAPLAS, Adsale is to construct an installation artwork using entirely recycled products, such as used bottles and other plastic end-products.
Overseas visitor promotion starts from K
This October, Adsale will exhibit in K2010 show to meet with overseas exhibitors and visitors.
“The triennial K has the strongest overseas presence that no other exhibitions can match. It is certainly one of the strongest areas of K and the credit goes to K’s long history and slick organization,” Ada Leung said. She believed that many exhibitors and visitors who were not able to attend CHINAPLAS 2010 would like to make contacts with the CHINAPLAS team in person in Düsseldorf. Adsale will exhibit at the booth EN1-02.
CHINAPLAS 2011 will occupy 20 halls in Guangzhou | Adsale is hoping that the strategic partnership with Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd (MDC) will radiate a “synergy effect”. MDC is a subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, the organizer of K fair. The alliance ensures that the promotion of K in other exhibitions goes hand in hand with CHINAPLAS. “We are keen to elaborate in Düsseldorf that CHINAPLAS 2011 will probably be the next biggest event after K2010, and we in China are looking forward to meeting them again in our homeland next May, ” she said.
No wonder the Hong Kong-based show organizer has already set the theme “See you at K, meet you at CHINAPLAS” for this mission to the West. Also notable is the number of Chinese exhibitors at K2010 this year – a total of 249 exhibitors from China will participate in this event, a substantial increase from last edition’s 154 and K2004's 113. The Chinese exhibitors will be occupying a booth area of nearly 6,700 square meters. Only Germany (65,740 square meters), the host country, Italy (27,000 square meters) and Austria (8,400 square meters) have larger representations.
Meanwhile, CHINAPLAS 2011 will continue to improve services for both overseas and local delegations, said Helen Chan. Deputy Marcom Director of Adsale. “Overseas delegations with pre-registration will have free access to the VIP & International Buyers’ Lounge, where they will be served with free beverage and snacks,” she said. “We are also planning to line up factory visits and sponsor a half-day local tour for overseas delegations.”
