Over 650 professionals join CPRJ Plastics in Packaging Conference inaugurated in Shanghai

With the theme “New design, materials and processing technologies”, more than 650 experts and professionals attended the 7th Edition CPRJ Plastics in Packaging Conference & Showcase, which was inaugurated today at Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Hotel in Shanghai, China.

The two-day conference is jointly hosted by Adsale Publishing Ltd. (Adsale Group) and Amcor, organized by China Plastic & Rubber Journal (CPRJ) & CPRJ International, and co-organized by Packaging Family and Shanghai Packaging Technology Association.

During the morning session, the first keynote speaker on stage was Dr. Jinhui Li, Executive Director, UNEP Basel Convention Regional Center for Asia and the Pacific.

He shared his views on the current status and development trends of international plastic waste management.

over 60 leading suppliers demonstrated their state-of-the-art solutions to the audience at the product showcase concurrently staged.

Concurrent forums and events

Two parallel sub-forums were held concurrently in the afternoon, focusing on innovative food & beverage packaging and innovative daily consumables packaging respectively.

Speakers from prestigious companies and associations delivered presentations and discussed the latest applications and technology trends in depth, including Want Want Group, ExxonMobil Chemical, Southern Packaging Group, Amcor Flexibles Greater China, Shanghai-Fanuc Robomachine, Arburg (Shanghai), Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics, Unilever Research and Development Centre, JD Logistics, etc.

In addition, a concurrent workshop was held to present Arburg special closures integrated solutions. The users and cap manufacturers in the food and beverage, condiment and daily chemical industries were invited for discussion during the workshop.

On the second day of the conference (August 2), two more parallel sub-forums will be held in the morning, with topics on the latest packaging technologies for food and beverage and the sustainable development of plastic packaging. In the afternoon, registered participants will go for a site visit to East China Central Factory of Bright Dairy.
