Germany-based Kurtz has developed two new shape molding machines that are Industry 4.0 ready.

A completely new addition to the FOAMER family is the Kurtz ROTO FOAMER, of which the mold can be rotated through 180°. With its rotating double steam chamber, the ROTO FOAMER is the specialist for insert molding of expanded polystyrene (EPS) and expanded polypropylene (EPP) and shorten cycle times by up to 50% shorter, according to the company.

The Kurtz PRO FOAMER has also improved in high-end processing of EPS and EPP, too. Processing at up to five bar is possible and provides energy savings of up to 70%.

Almost all Kurtz shape molding machines are "4.0 READY" – that means the machines can be optimized with the Industrie 4.0 solutions from Kurtz. Options such as Eject Control 4.0 and Motion Optimiser 4.0 optimize production processes, reduce energy consumption and lead to reproducible high quality.

The new Kurtz FOAMER shape molding machines come with a new look, with sophisticated steel blue graces the machinery casing.
