ENGEL is one of 50 global Climate Leaders. In cooperation with TBD Media Group, the Bloomberg media corporation analyzed and evaluated the commitment of industrial companies from a wide range of sectors and defined the 50 most sustainable and climate-aware companies worldwide. ENGEL is the only plastics machinery manufacturer to be included.

Sustainability is anchored in ENGEL's corporate philosophy. The injection moulding machine manufacturer and system solution provider headquartered in Schwertberg, Austria, is continuously optimizing its processes with the aim of using resources even more economically and further strengthening recycling.

ENGEL is one of 50 global Climate Leaders.

ENGEL also supports its customers with innovative machine concepts and process technologies in the development of sustainable plastic products and in reducing the carbon footprint in the production of these products. Advancing digitalization opens up opportunities for establishing a circular economy, which ENGEL is leveraging with extensive development investments.

"Closing material cycles is one of the plastics industry's priority tasks. We accept this challenge and are developing solutions that enable processed plastic waste to be used far more widely", says Dr. Stefan Engleder, CEO of the ENGEL Group, in the video that Bloomberg produced for the Climate Leaders presentation.

It is believed that, from packaging and automobiles to medical products, plastics have become an integral part of the modern life. They help people save energy and make contributions to hygiene and safety.

As part of the plastics industry, ENGEL has a responsibility to ensure that people in all regions of the world are using plastic products responsibly, stated Engleder.

By including ENGEL in the group of 50 Climate Leaders, Bloomberg is honouring this commitment and raising public awareness of the industrial commitment to climate and environmental protection.
