High performance materials from Polyplastics under spotlight at CHINAPLAS

Leading engineering plastics developer Polyplastics will unveil a host of latest materials and applications which will benefit a wide range of industries, such as 5G communication, automotive, medical and healthcare, packaging, etc.

 

Polyplastics’ new low-dielectric LCP (liquid crystal polymer) series, which is a top-performing super engineering plastic with a thinness and fluidity unheard of in traditional products, fits the global demand for 5G materials.

 

The company’s new DURAFIDE PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), a highly heat-resistant resin that is categorized as a super engineering plastic, is suitable for new energy vehicles with its mature applications in motors, electronic control, and thermal management.

 

For Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), Polyplastics will display head-up displays (HUD), millimeter-wave radars and car cameras. They use the company’s materials, including DURANEX PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) and TOPAS COC (cyclic olefin copolymer).

DURANEX PBT is characterized by its heat resistance and outstanding electrical properties. Meanwhile, TOPAS COC is a transparent and extremely pure resin that boasts superior water vapor barrier, chemical resistance, and safety properties, suitable for numerous applications from medical and healthcare to packaging and electronics.

 

Worth noting is that TOPAS COC is also used in products associated to COVID-related applications. Also on display is the newly-developed medical grade POM (polyoxymethylene) PM series, set to open up more medical applications.

 

On sustainable development, Polyplastics’ novel COC-based easy-to-recycle label solution for PET bottle contributes to the building of circular society.


TOPAS COC is a glass-clear and extremely pure plastic for electronics, packaging and healthcare applications.
