How is a transparent, multi-layered polycarbonate car logo produced by injection molding process?

Sumitomo (SHI) Demag's IntElect 220/660-1100 injection molding machine, equipped with a special plasticizing unit, processes multi-layered polycarbonate with in-mold decoration (IMD) technology. The IMD technology includes re-injecting another surface with the same image and non-contact cleaning in a laminar flow cabinet.

The entire production process is completed in an ISO class-7 clean room with a fully automated process.
