At K 2022, TRIA, the Italian manufacturer of granulators, conveying and grinding systems, emphasized the upgrades and remote services for its products.

In an onsite interview with Adsale Plastics Network (AdsaleCPRJ.com), Luciano Anceschi, Executive Chairman at TRIA S.p.A., said that the company’s electric machines featuring smaller volume and lower working temperature were popular at the trade fair.

The machines with small volume of 1 or 2 L produce less scrap at the beginning and offer high profitability, making them attractive to visitors and customers, he explained.

Regarding the machines dedicated to thermoforming applications, Luciano Anceschi remarked that since the use of bio-based materials have been increasing, the machines need to offer lower working temperature for processing. TRIA, therefore, works to develop machines fulfilling such requirement.

He introduced the company’s new TS Series, for example, which enriches the product range dedicated to thermoforming. In addtion to renewed look and design, the models offer the benefits of decrease in electrical absorption, increase in ease of cleaning, and being more silent in operation.

As a highlight at K 2022, the new TS Series is dedicated to thermoforming applications.

Not just machine innovation, maintenance is also an important part of TRIA’s solutions. The company now provides remote maintenance that allows advices and management services without having onsite technicians.

Apart from introducing the company’s trade fair exhibits, Luciano Anceschi opined about the challenges that TRIA and other European machine manufacturers are facing, including energy crisis, lack of electrical component and shortage of technician.

Luciano Anceschi sees that European machine manufacturers have been making an effort to stay flexible under complicated circumstances, for example, improving machines for adapting to the use of sustainable materials, increasing machines’ automation level to avoid relying on technicians, and optimizing machines for even less material and energy consumption. He is still optimistic about the market in 2023.
