Forum dedicated to advanced molding technology commences today

As high-end and precision products are in high demand, more advanced molding technology plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process. This is why CHINAPLAS and Hong Kong Mould & Die Council team up to hold the dedicated forum, “Empowering Product Quality with Advanced Molding & Innovative Technology” Symposium, this morning.

In the first session, speakers from leading suppliers talk about how advanced molding technology empowers product quality. Hongrita Plastics (Shenzhen) Ltd. introduces its latest LSR mold and molding technology, while TK Mold (Shenzhen) Ltd. shares Industry 4.0 case studies for injection molding.

Besides, Yick Sang Metal and Plastic Mould Texturing Ltd. elaborates on the application of precision laser texturing in different industries. In the presentation of DOD Technology, Springfield CMF Technology Co Ltd. explains the green and digital decoration technology in detail.

The second session focuses on the industry’s development, with the topics covering the concept and practice of domestic industrial software, smart manufacturing strategies and solutions for the plastics and mold industries, as well as ESG sustainable development of Chinese mold.

Market Insights Hub to be held on Day 4

With six forums discussing special topics to share insights on latest technology trends and new market opportunities, the brand new Market Insights Hub will be held on Day 4 of CHINAPLAS.

It is noteworthy that two of the forums focus on practical testing and certification. Four experts from the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre (STC) will introduce the testing requirements for consumer electronics, food contact materials, plastics and rubber used in the toy industry, as well as biocompatibility of medical devices.

With the driving force injected by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Asia is growing into a global manufacturing hub. Business consultant, consulate representative of RCEP country, and leaders of enterprises will share their views on ways to capitalize on the rising opportunities at the “A Sneak Peek at RCEP Opportunities” forum.

Cost reduction is at top of agenda of enterprises amid soaring raw material prices. In view of this, the “Systematic Approach to Effective Cost Reduction for Plastic Parts” forum will discuss the best practices of cost reduction and efficiency enhancement in plastic parts production, such as material selection, product design, cost calculation and mold design, etc.

The other two forums of the Market Insights Hub aim to share the latest market trends of plastic raw materials and the must-know digital marketing strategies for manufacturing enterprises.

A talent matching activity, Development Day for Campus Elites, will also be organized. Professors from Southern University of Science and Technology will lead a group of elite teenagers to meet face-to-face with enterprises for talent matching.
