MAAG to present innovative solutions for circular economy at Fakuma 2023

AMN’s die plates


The CIS system, with the highest quality requirements for throughputs up to 100t/h, is specially designed to produce high MI or complex ploymers. It increases the water flow locally to facilitate cutting, improve pellet quality and reduce cavitation phenomena.

AMN’s die plates is designed to produce high MI or complex polymers.

 

Easily plugged on existing installations, the additional water flow is then efficiently distributed with the help of knife holder with a cone and saber knives, which facilitates pellet cooling and ejection.

 

PEARLO 350 EAC with liquid-heated die plate

 

The underwater pelletizing system is designed for high throughputs of 18.000kg/h of virgin polymer production. The unique cutting blade design and optimum water and material flow provide ideal and homogeneous cooling effects, as well as outstanding pellet quality.

 

Another innovative feature is the cutting blade advance system, which allows axial movement of the cutter shaft that leads to precise blade advance and a regrinding of blades during production. This allows higher equipment availability, elongated production runs and therefore, saves costs.

 

ETTLINGERs ECO 500

 

The high performance melt filter is for the filtration of heavily contaminated polymer feedstock. For chemical recycling, this technology is outstanding for filtering low viscosity polymers.

ETTLINGERs ECO 500 is a melt filter for the filtration of heavily contaminated polymer feedstock.

 

The filter can self-clean with a rotating, perforated drum – through there is a continuous flow of melt from outside to inside, a scraper removes the contaminants and feeds them to discharge system. This allows the filter to be used fully automatically and without any disruptions over long periods without having to replace the screen.

 

The advantages of the system include reliable melt filtration, ultra-low melt losses constant pressure curve, fast spreading of the contamination and short residence time of the melt in filter.


Strand pelletizing system EBG


This system is designed for highly filled, hydroscopic and water-sensitive compounds. Despite the compact design, it has features of a large compounding system. The pelletizing system scores with a high degree of automation, gentle material processing and excellent product quality.

 

Extrex gear pumps

 

The gear pumps offer an optimized interaction of the components. The specially developed gear teeth with low compression enable very high pressures to be achieved with low shear rates. This results in further increase in achievable product quality, volumetric efficiency, as well as production consistency and safety.
