Hu Pengyan graduated from Nanjing Tech University in 2013 with a double bachelor’s degree, majoring in Polymer Materials and Engineering and minoring in Financial Management. He holds multiple patents related to the high-value recycling of marine plastic waste, specifically discarded fishing nets made of nylon, for applications in the textile industry. In 2021, as one of the co-founders of the InResST project, Hu Pengyan partnered with Zhejiang Taihua New Material Group Co., Ltd. (stock code: 603055.SH), an A-share listed company, to establish InResST is a low-carbon, environmentally focused company dedicated to researching, developing, producing, and promoting solutions that transform marine plastic waste—particularly abandoned fishing nets—into valuable resources for the textile sector.
