Medical Plastics Conference Preview – Applications of 3D printing materials and Clean Room Manufacturing

Source:Source: CPRJ Editorial Team Date :2016-03-29 Editor :

The 2nd Medical Plastics Conference to be held during CHINAPLAS 2016 will have medical engineering experts from Europe to present hot topics in medical field: applications of 3D printing materials and clean room manufacturing.

Ms. Stefania Marconi from the University of Pavia is a biomedical engineer as well as PhD in experimental surgery and microsurgery. In recent years she has been conducting research on the subject of 3D printing applications in the medical field. In the first Medical Plastics Conference last year, her presentation was very well received by the audience, and she answered many questions raised out by the conference participants. This year we are glad to have Ms Marconi to be our speaker again. Her presentation will go through 3D printing solutions suitable for medical field, covering standard plastic materials, high-resolution photopolymers and biocompatible materials. She will also introduce the applications of 3D printing on anatomical prototyping for surgical planning, and 3D printing of biocompatible implants.

Another speaker from European university is Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Burkhard Stol. For more than 20 years he worked in life science industry with Boehringer Mannheim in the Diagnostic Industry and Gerresheimer AG, a leading supplier into pharmaceutical industry for packaging materials, holding various positions as R&D Manager and Business Unit Manager. Since 2013 he is Professor at the University of Applied Science in Weiden, Germany. Cleanroom manufacturing, production processes and innovation management are main subjects in his lectures and research work. In the presentation he will discuss the chances and risks when going into cleanroom production, as well as the many technical and human aspects to cover in order to turn cleanroom manufacturing into a true success story for your company.

The 2nd Medical Plastics Conference will be held during 25-26 Apr, 2-5pm at Meeting Room M16 of Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This is an ideal technology exchange opportunity for Medical Device, Disposables and Pharmaceutical Packaging manufacturers. Registration now at www.ChinaplasOnline.com/MedReg to enjoy priority in Free Admission!
