The newest application made from the film is a heat-sealed bag for takeaway products launched by St1’s HelmiSimpukka restaurant chain in Finland.

The Woodly film, a recyclable wood-based packaging material, is an alternative solution to the traditional cellophane with a reduced carbon footprint. It can also prevent moisture condensation and preserve the quality of fresh food products for longer.

Woodly material is used in St1’s new heat-sealed bags for sandwiches.

In addition to food packaging, Woodly film can be used for labels and to wrap flowers and presents, just to mention a few example applications.
