INEOS Styrolution's ASA copolymer used in new Dongfeng EV models

INEOS Styrolution, a global leader in styrenics, has announced that its Luran S 778T SPF30 grade has been selected by Dongfeng VOYAH, for the new VOYAH FREE, launched in June 2021.

 

Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a leading Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer in China, markets its premium electric vehicle (EV) segment under the brand name “VOYAH”.

VOYAH FREE SUV using INEOS Styrolution’s Luran S 778T SPF30.


Luran S is INEOS Styrolution’s acrylonitrile styrene acrylate copolymer (ASA) brand which is suitable for unpainted exterior applications. It offers good properties for long-term use and for a high-quality surface appearance.

 

It is applicable for hot stamping technology that allows for aesthetic effects. In particular, it offers weathering stability for outdoor applications even when unpainted.

 

Jiayu Chen, Material Director, VOYAH, shared, “The performance of Luran S 778T SPF30 fits exactly our needs. Its combination of weatherability, paint-free, high gloss and deep dark color provide a premium appearance for the front grill and fog lamp cover applications of our new VOYAH FREE.”  

 

“We are excited to work with VOYAH, providing the best solution for the new FREE SUV model,” stated SungBeom Park, Asia Pacific Lead, Automotive, INEOS Styrolution. “We are eager to provide them with the best and most innovative materials for their existing and future automobile range."
