Bayer MaterialScience to show latest medical technologies at MEDTEC 2009

Bayer MaterialScience will exhibit at MEDTEC 2009, a medical trade fair dedicated to serve Chinese OEMs, from September 8 to 10 in Shanghai this year.

The company will be presenting a number of innovative products, applications and technologies offered to the medical device industry.

Bayer MaterialScience will feature a nasal mask made of Makrolon polycarbonate - to relieve sleep apnear patient from breathing problems. This mask demonstrated a sound success of teamwork between Bayer MaterialScience and its partner ResMed, a global medical device developer and manufacturer, to produce such nasal masks.

Bayer MaterialScience offers a broad product portfolio for the healthcare industry include, just name a few, Makrolon polycarbonate, Apec high-heat polycarbonate, Bayblend polycarbonate blends, etc.

All Bayer MaterialScience medical-grade products comply with US-Pharmacopeia standard Class VI and ISO 10993-1. Such grades are used in a wide range of medical applications, for instance, forceps for eye surgery, mechanical injection pump and intrapartum monitor.
