KRAIBURG TPE's compounds enable lightweight durable cleaning devices

Lifestyles have been altering. Simple, compact, lightweight and energy efficient cleaning devices are gaining interests. Also, in order to match the theme and color palette of homes, device manufacturers want to make sure their items are visually appealing.

KRAIBURG TPE now provides the THERMOLAST K series that has surface quality, flowability, and durability for use in cleaning equipment applications.

In KRAIBURG TPE LW/CS/UV series, the compounds feature a low density of up to 0.7g/cm³. With lower weight and increased mobility of cleaning devices, innovation and development of the devices is made flexible.

KRAIBURG TPE's THERMOLAST K series can be used in cleaning equipment applications.

Besides the significant weight saving, the compounds provide optimized compression set performance, with high temperature stability up to 100°C, making them suitable for seals for housings. Additional characteristics like non sticky surface, UV and weathering resistance make the compounds good for outdoor cleaning devices.

Besides, the LW/CS/UV series has good adhesion with PP. Processing of products using the TPE materials is made easy via injection molding and extrusion. Other possible applications include grommets, window cleaners, pool robot brushes, blower and lawn mower handle or casings, etc.

Furthermore, KRAIBURG TPE AD/PA/CS series adheres well to PA6 and PA6.6, with up to 50% glass fiber content, thus making it applicable for two-component injection molding and allowing for flexibility in production. The sealing performance makes it suitable for use in the bottom sealing of swimming pool cleaning devices.

The compounds are available in natural color and can be colored in various colors and effects for functional and design aesthetics applications. Other applications like water tank inlet seals, power switch buttons, water jet cleaning handles and tool handles are feasible using the AD/PA/CS series of compounds.
