Round Table at Fakuma 2023: “Plastic – Recyclable Rather Than Problem Material!”

Together with the Fakuma exhibitor advisory board, trade fair promoters P. E. Schall are organising a discussion panel within the framework of Fakuma 2023 whose central theme is “Plastic – Recyclable Rather Than Problem Material!

The purpose of this discussion platform is to emphasise the value of plastics. Amidst all of the problems and challenges associated with plastics, the objective is to clearly demonstrate its usefulness in all areas of activity and to boost its image. The event is intended to provide food for thought, promote clarification and foster technical communication on the subject of plastics. The goal is a highly qualified and lively exchange of ideas at the technical and conceptual levels.

Date and time:

First day of the Fakuma trade fair on 17 October 2023 beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Location: Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre

 

Round table participants:

Ø Ms. Thekla Walker, Minister for Environment, Climate and Energy in Baden-Württemberg (→ Schall trade fair promoters to inquire and extend invitation)

Ø Professor Dr. Martin Bastian, President of ZUSE-Gemeinschaft and Executive Director of SKZ Würzburg (commitment received)

Ø Professor Dr. h.c. Werner Koch, Managing Shareholder of Werner Koch Maschinentechnik (commitment received)

Ø Mr. Ingemar Bühler, Managing Director of Plastics Europe (commitment received)

Ø Dipl.-Ing. Lothar Zapf, Managing Director of Zentrum für Lebensmittel- und Verpackungstechnologie e.V. (commitment received)

 

Moderator:

Dipl.-Ing. Markus Lüling, Chief Editor of trade journal K-Profi (commitment received)

 

Agenda:

§ 4:30 p.m., welcoming of all attendees (round table participants, all by name and position) by a member of the exhibitor advisory board

§ Moderator conducts round table discussion with a duration of roughly 1½ hours

§ Wrap-up and conclusion of the discussion by the moderator

§ Afterwards, beginning at about 6:00 p.m., get-together with drinks and snacks for further exchange of ideas and the establishment of new contacts
