Source:Adsale Plastics Network Date :2021-03-12 Editor :JK

BOBST will be joining the forthcoming CHINAPLAS 2021 with live presentations and sample displays. Its experts will introduce the latest technology and process advancement for the Chinese flexible packaging printing and converting industry.

BOBST is one of the leading manufacturers in the industry covering machines and processes across all technologies along the production chain from film manufacturing to the end products.

With gravure making the lion’s share of the printing technology of choice in China, BOBST keeps optimizing its solutions to fulfill the specific requirements of the local market, including automation, low emissions and capabilities to handle a multitude of substrates at speed with new eco-friendly materials.

The RS 3.0 HS is the new addition to the range, an evolution of the successful RS 3.0 PLUS press, it features higher speeds over 450 m/min with fully automated job changeovers at production speed with both solvent and water-based ink printing.

Fit for lamination, the multi-technology NOVA DA 800 solution handles wide combination of materials, including the new eco-friendly substrates. Features include the availability of BOBST flexo trolley for high-speed coating of solvent-based adhesive with high solid content.

BOBST noted that , sustainability is a pillar of its developments, along with automation, connectivity and digitalization. The company's process technologies have been a market focus, including the latest development in vacuum metallizing processes, AluBond or the AlOx Conversion Solution, and the mono-material ready to recycle laminated substrates.

“Water-based in printing will be another topic of special interest for visiting gravure converters as we will be sharing the advances in this field issued of our collaborative project between BOBST and a leading ink manufacturer,” said Garavaglia Davide, Managing Director of BOBST Italia. “The results are very exciting because they enable to achieve superior print quality at high speed using inks with an alcohol content far below the current industry percentage.”

“The Competence Center and laboratory at BOBST (Changzhou), BOBST facility dedicated to flexible packaging technology, has recently been awarded a certification as a Demonstration and Training Base for Alternative Applications to VOCs in the Packaging and Printing Industry from the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC),” added Lubin Lu, BOBST's Zone Business Director Greater China, Business Unit Printing & Converting, Flexible Packaging & Label.

In CHINAPLAS, visitor can discover BOBST's maintenance and service programs for enhancing the productivity on both new and old machines, as well as its logistics network for parts and consumables.
