Mono-material PE airless dispenser for beauty packaging

Aptar Beauty launched Mono Micro, its first mono-material airless dispenser in the product portfolio. Based on its top seller Micro (30ml) airless packaging solution, the new dispenser is made entirely of polyethylene (PE) for enhanced circularity.

The mono-material airless dispenser enhances recyclability and circularity.

 

The whole Mono Micro, including the outer cap, container, actuator, interior piston mechanism, is made of PE. It boasts 100% recyclability score from European evaluation institute cyclos-HTP.

 

In addition, brands can utilize seamlessly matching full PE labels from Autajon Labels to create a branded pack that is fully compatible with PE recycling streams.

 

As an Aptar Beauty’s airless product, the formula is kept safely shielded from external contamination. The top-fill piston system offers a high evacuation rate to minimize waste of the bulk. With 360° dispensing and exact dosage per stroke, Mono Micro is intuitive and easy to use.

 

“Being mono-material, Mono Micro as a whole is compatible with existing recycling streams. It makes it easy for brands by choosing Mono Micro to anticipate future regulations with recyclable plastic packaging and meet their sustainable commitments,” commented Patrick Bousquel, Marketing Director Beauty EMEA.

 

Mono Micro is designed and manufactured at Aptar Beauty’s airless technology specialist facility in Villingen, Germany. The Micro 30ml and the whole Micro range will be gradually available in the beginning of 2024, followed by Mezzo 50ml.

 

In the future, these ranges will also be available in post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin from mechanical or chemical recycling.
