Indonesian-based Pan Era Group and Milliken collaborate on transparent rPP enhancement
Indonesian-based Pan Era Group, one of the largest polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) recycling companies in Southeast Asia, and Milliken & Company penned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote a circular economy in Indonesia, as well as enhancing the performance of transparent recycled PP (rPP) resin.
The collaboration seeks to advance sustainable practices and promote the use of rPP in Indonesia, which aligns strongly with the country’s commitment to accelerating circular economy and reducing plastic waste.
Pan Era will utilize its extensive local collection network to collect plastic waste and coupled with Milliken's additive technology solutions to produce rPP. The collaboration also aims to improve the market appeal, with Pan Era promoting Milliken as a supplier during promotional activities, and vice versa.

The MoU was signed at the Plastics and Rubber Indonesia 2023 event, held at Jakarta International Expo, Indonesia.
“Together, we will drive innovation and address the evolving demands of the plastic industry, with a specific focus on transparent PP plastic resin. Our collaboration will enable us to offer enhanced products that meet the highest quality standards and contribute to a more sustainable future,” said Wilson Pandhika, CEO of Pan Era Group.
“The insights provided by Pan Era Group regarding the Indonesian plastic recycling industry will be instrumental in developing future grades that meet the specific needs and preferences of the market,” said Vincent Wang, South Asia Commercial Leader of Milliken's Plastic Additives business.
