CHINAPLAS 2024: Arburg highlights advanced injection molding for automotive and medical applications

At CHINAPLAS, which takes place from 23-26 April 2024, Arburg will showcase three injection molding machines, as well as automation and additive manufacturing, with the focus on applications for the automotive and medical industries.


For the first time, Arburg will be exhibiting in the same hall as the Asian injection molding machine manufacturers, which has closer proximity to local customers.

Arburg will be exhibiting in the same hall as the Asian injection molding machine builders at CHINAPLAS for the first time.

 

Three Allrounder machines in the spotlight

 

The three Allrounder machines to be showcased at CHINAPLAS 2024 are built at the Arburg Technology Factory Pinghu, with automation components and molds come from Asian suppliers.

 

The Allrounder 1600 T rotary table machine will be producing connecting parts for the mobility sector. With a Kuka six-axis robot, the machine will overmold metal inserts with glass fiber-reinforced PA6 in a 4-cavity mold from Concraft.

 

Another highlight is Allrounder 470 H with innovative hybrid machine technology from the Hidrive series. It was first presented in the anniversary year 2023 and has been available worldwide with the sizes 520 and 570 since spring 2024.

The machine features energy saving, resources conservation and efficient production. At the company booth, the exhibit will demonstrate manufacturing of adapters from polycarbonate for medical technology, with a linear robotic system Flexlift.

 

This linear robotic system from Arburg is designed as an entry-level solution for automated production of molded parts and is available exclusively for the Asian market.

 

The third exhibit is electric Allrounder 470 E Golden Electric, which will produce precise LSR components for the automotive industry. The machine is equipped with an 8-cavity mold and is also automated with a Flexlift linear robotic system.

 

A Freeformer for industrial additive manufacturing on stage

 

Arburg will also demonstrate industrial additive manufacturing with a Freeformer.

 

Using Arburg Plastic Freeforming (APF), functional parts, operating equipment and robotic grippers can be 3D printed based on original plastic granulates, even from very soft materials and in hard/soft combinations.

 

Interactive area arburgSOLUTIONworld with five stations

 

Arburg will also offer comprehensive and individual advice to visitors in the interactive arburgSOLUTIONworld exhibition area. Experts from Arburg will provide customized consultations, such as on the use of arburgXworld customer portal and Arburg host computer system ALS. Five stations around a four-meter-high LED column will be set up for the area.

 

Other key topics will also be discussed, include increasing efficiency through automation, advice on injection molds, the arburgGREENworld sustainability program and other aspects of service and training.
