Arburg will make a world debut of its Allrounder 720 E Golden Electric at the NPE 2024, on May 6-10 in Orlando, Florida, the US. For the first time, the company make its machine debut outside Germany.

The German plastic processing machine manufacturer will also showcase a total of 13 exhibits at its own stand and its partners’ stands, demonstrating its broad product range from 3D printing to injection molding of packaging items in large volume batches.

Allrounder 720 A “Ultimate” will be one of the exhibits at NPE 2024.

New “Golden” electric machine makes world debut

The Allrounder 720 E Golden Electric with a clamping force of 2,800kN offers electrical precision, process stability and excellent product quality. It is suitable for a wide range of plastic parts and cycle times of around 15 seconds or more.

The injection molding machine’s optimized design also creates significantly smaller footprint, implying that more machines can be accommodated in the same injection molding production area, raising the output per square meter.

Typical areas of application include medical technology, mobility and technical injection molding.

The “golden” electric all-rounder can be automated with all Arburg robotic system, including six-axis robots. The exhibit at NPE uses a 24-cavity mold to produce razor covers, with a Multilift V 20 linear robot system handling the tasks.

Other exhibits demonstrating broad service range

Out of 13 exhibits at the NPE, seven will be on Arburg’s own stand, including:

  • An electric Allrounder 520 A in cleanroom design will demonstrate a new precise IML process specifically for medical technology, using the example of labelled centrifuge tubes.

  • An Allrounder Cube 1800 machine will be presented for the first time in the US. It will use an integrated six-axis robot to fully-automatically produce two-component medical closures.

  • An Allrounder 520 H “Premium” featuring new hybrid machine technology processes 100% ABS recyclate into components for a 1:18 Allrounder model.

  • A turnkey system centered around a hybrid Allrounder 920 S will produce a toolbox in Arburg design as give-away.

  • A 750-3X high-temperature Freeformer will demonstrate industrial additive manufacturing. The 3D printer is suitable for processing certified original material into components for medical technology and aerospace.

Digitalization to track production process

Digitalization helps significantly increase energy and production efficiency of machines and systems.

Arburg offers the ALS host computer system and the “arburgXworld” customer portal with extensive digital features. The Gestica control system also offers intelligent assistance functions that support set-up and operation of machines and systems.

At the trade fair, all Allrounders are networked with the Arburg ALS host computer system via OPC UA interfaces. With this central MES, the entire plastic parts production process can be digitally planned and controlled, and all relevant information can be tracked.
