Brückner will present its specialty film lines for a wide variety of high-tech applications, especially for the rapidly growing e-mobility and new energy sector, at CHINAPLAS 2024 in Shanghai, China, on 23-26 April.

Exhibits of specialty films for high-tech applications include:

 

  • Battery separator films: Line concepts and customized machine components guarantee high energy efficiency, low production costs and consistent film quality

  • Composite current collector films: As the company’s latest stretching technologies, it features down-gauging, weight saving, reduction of metal, enhanced safety and outstanding energy density per cell

  • Capacitor films: Sequential and simultaneous stretching process are used to manufacture extremely thin and high-temperature films for EV applications or high energy density film for renewable energy applications in the power industry

  • Solar back sheet: First-time presented, the highly efficient 6.8m wide line with an output of 6 tons/hour of BOPET thick film up to 250µm serves the photovoltaic applications

  • Simultaneous LISIM stretching process: The patented technology facilitates efficient production of a wide variety of specialty films

In addition to the solutions for technical film sector, the German film stretching lines supplier will also present developments in increased (energy) efficiency, sustainability and circularity in packaging film manufacturing:

 

  • Efficient and high output lines for a low specific energy consumption in BOPP, BOPET, BOPA film production

  • Intelligent stretching oven management for even more energy saving

  • Special direct recycling system and an increased proportion of A-grade film on the winder to reduce use of raw materials and help achieve “zero waste” in film production

  • Solutions for bio-based and bio-degradable biaxially stretched packaging films, such as made of PLA/PHA

  • Mono-material solutions to close the life cycle of BOPP, BOPET and BOPE plastic packaging, including BOPE/BOPP hybrid lines
