NPE 2024: Husky launches new HyPET 6e injection molding platform

Husky Technologies highlights latest technologies, solutions, and services designed to enable the circular economy at NPE 2024.

Sustainable injection molding platform

 

At NPE, Husky carries out the global launch of its new HyPET 6e injection molding platform.

 

The integration of machine, mold, auxiliary, and real-time remote monitoring is setting unprecedented standards in sustainable molding, including superior rPET capability, industry-leading energy efficiency, and closed-loop quality control.

 

At its booth, Husky runs a HyPET HPP6e system, producing a lightweight 5.89g preform made from 100% rPET material.

 

More circular solutions

 

At the booth, Husky runs a high performance Hylectric 4.0 system with UltraShot injection technology to produce a complex bio-resin part. The company also unveils its award-winning UltraMelt technology for processing bio-resins, opening new possibilities for the use of alternative renewable, bio-based materials in plastics manufacturing.

 

New application design and development innovations involving lightweighting, tethered closures, and introduction of a groundbreaking advancement involving closures manufactured from 100% PET to facilitate mono-material packaging that streamlines the recycling process.

 

Husky’s remote, proactive Advantage+Elite monitoring solution is also connected to systems running at the booth, monitoring in real-time. This includes a suite of intelligent, connected solutions that use end-to-end, closed-loop reporting to leverage data and analytics, optimize operations, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.

 

Immersive circularity experience center

 

For the first time, together with industry counterparts, Husky hosts an immersive circularity experience center.

 

The center demonstrates the journey of a PET bottle through each stage of the recycling stream. From collecting, to washing, to grinding, to blowing, to filling, each step details how a circular end-to-end solution makes it possible for a bottle to be back on store shelves and into consumers’ hands in as little as five days.
