LyondellBasell starts additional PP compounding production in China

LyondellBasell starts the additional production line at its Dalian site of Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) business, further expanding the company’s presence in China.

LyondellBasell celebrated the start-up of second production line at its Dalian site.

 

As the second production line at the Dalian site, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons, the new production line will double the site’s current production capacity.

 

The new production line will produce a wide range of high-performance, high-quality polypropylene (PP) compounds, mainly supplying the automotive industry.

 

“The new production line marks Dalian site’s progress in increasing capacity and automatic operation, and it can contribute to the long-term scalable development,” commented Brian Jiang, Director of Advanced Polymer Solutions APAC Manufacturing.

 

The Dalian site was established in 2015. It can produce 80,000 tons of PP compounded products at full capacity with four production lines, suppling to end applications including bumpers, instrument panels, interior trims, under-the-hood applications or structural parts and body panels for the automotive industry.
