The new SPEEDFORMER KTR 6.2 SPEED offers efficient production of thermoformed polymer cups and coffee capsules.

Increased output

With improved tooling cooling process, the machine has larger forming area and faster forming time to produce up to 50% higher output at the same footprint & quality compared to other machine manufacturers.

“Additionally, the filling time is drastically reduced owing to the optimized forming air system,” explained Alexander Donabauer, Director Sales of the Polymer Packaging Division.

Enhanced versatility

The KTR 6.2 features a more powerful drive system at the Trim-in-place station, offering a punching force of 900 kN. Therefore, the machine can easily punch a wide variety of materials, including thicker films, such as PET, which usually require stronger punching forces.

Moreover, the machine technology is enhanced to produce higher cups up to 250 mm.

Higher efficiency

The machine’s optimized and integrated SPEEDSTACKER, which can handle a greater number of products and a wider range of geometries, offers efficient and higher stacking. Besides that, the new downstream automation CUPPACKER can be optionally integrated.

Both offer optimized product transfer that uses real-time monitoring to guarantee maximum speed and output and smooth machine movements.

Last but not least, the machine includes a new intuitive user interface – KMI 2.0. It facilitates thermoforming processes, supporting from short training period and fast recipe optimization to efficient error handling and a targeted maintenance system.
