Envalior’s solutions – Arnitel TPC – are used in producing the midsole of norda’s 005 ultra distance super shoe.

Midsole: Arnitel TPC

 

Arnitel, a thermoplastic copolyester elastomer (TPC), is soft to the touch with a lightweight structure and rubber-like strength and flexibility. Compared to TPU, midsoles made with Arnitel demonstrate a 17% higher rebound.

 

The material also exhibits extremely low energy loss after foaming, enhancing the wear performance of midsoles to ensure shoes offer reliable foot support. Arnitel FM grades exhibit very stable mechanical properties in different temperatures.

 

In addition, Arnitel demonstrates sustainability as the solution are available in low carbon footprint, renewable source or bio-based grades. The Arnitel-based midsoles can also be recycled.

 

Soleplate: Vibram Mega Grip Elite rubber

 

The shoe’s soleplate is engineered with Vibram Litebase technology, contributing to a 30% reduction in overall sole weight. The Vibram Mega Grip Elite rubber delivers superior durability, traction and strong grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

 

Upper: Bio-based Dyneema

 

The upper part of the 005 shoe is made of an exclusive proprietary weave of almost entirely bio-based Dyneema and recycled nylon, creating strong and light trail shoe upper. The weight is less than 90g/m2 and +3000N warp and weft tear strength.
