Breaking: Borche to sell 60% stake to real estate developer

Borch Machinery Co., Ltd. (Borche), the Chinese manufacturer of intelligent injection molding machines, is planning to sell 60% of shares in cash to Dongguan Winnerway Industrial Zone Co., Ltd. After completion of the transaction, Borche will become a holding subsidiary of Dongguan Winnerway.

 

The parties signed intention agreement on January 2, 2025. The final transaction details, such as the proportion of shares acquisition, the counterparty to the transaction and the transaction price, still need to be further negotiated and determined by the parties after the completion of audit, evaluation and other works, and shall be finalized in an agreement signed by all parties.

Borche has recently upgraded its Guangzhou headquarters with 50% increase in production capacity. 

Dongguan Winnerway operates in real estate business

 

Listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Dongguan Winnerway mainly engages in real estate development and sales, and the company also operates recycling of used lead-acid batteries.

 

In an announcement, Dongguan Winnerway emphasized that the strategic transaction will transform the company from traditional real estate business to high-end equipment manufacturing, which will help explore new profit growth.

 

Creating conditions for listing of Borche

 

Borche has developed more than 100 different kind of products, covering servo, two-platen, multi-component, and high-speed injection molding machines. The manufacturer operates three manufacturing bases, namely Guangzhou headquarters with R&D and manufacturing base, Hangzhou plant, and Guangzhou intelligent manufacturing demonstration plant of two-platen machines.

 

Borche ranked no.7 in the Top Chinese Injection Molding Machinery Suppliers 2024 (based on main business income in 2023) named by China Plastics Machinery Industry Association.

 

In the first three quarters of 2024, Borche achieved a revenue growth of 25% and a profit growth of up to 40%. The manufacturer has recently carried out an upgrade of its Guangzhou headquarters, achieving a 50% increase in total production capacity. 

 

It is worth noting that Borche tried various times to file an A-share IPO (Initial Public Offering) in the past 12 years but failed. Analysts commented that the transaction could create conditions for the listing of Borche.
