Under the theme “Co-create a Sustainable Future”, Polyplastics and its parent company Daicel will jointly exhibit at CHINAPLAS 2025, showcasing their latest material and technological solutions in application areas such as sustainable development, automotive, high-speed transmission, medical, and 3D printing.

Committed to achieving carbon neutrality, Polyplastics has developed solutions to reduce carbon footprint and promote a circular economy. LAPEROS® bG-LCP (liquid crystal polymer) with renewable content can significantly reduce carbon footprint. The solution features the same processing, chemical and physical properties as conventional products. It is also certified by third party as biomass balance product.

Another solution, DURACON® POM short fiber reinforced grades, promotes circular economy through regenerating cellulose fiber by solvent method, which is a simplified process of dissolving cellulose and spinning in a solvent without denaturing. This is an efficient closed process in which virtually 100% of the used solvents are recycled.

“We firmly believe that sustainable development is not only a corporate responsibility but also a future competitive advantage. Through continuous innovation and active participation in social contributions, we aim to provide more eco-friendly solutions for global customers while contributing to the goal of carbon neutrality,” stated Takashi Miayamoto, President and CEO of Polyplastics.

Polyplastics’ DURACIRCLE initiative aims to achieve 100% circulation of engineering plastics.

For the electric vehicle (EV) market, lightweight, high heat resistance and high strength materials are key to optimize performance of battery modules, connectors, and motor components. Polyplastics has developed materials for battery housings and modules, featuring high temperature and chemical resistance to ensure stability and safety in extreme environments. Low dielectric constant and low-loss materials are developed for charging interfaces and connectors to improve charging efficiency and reduce energy loss. Motors and ECU (electronic control units) require high rigidity and heat-resistant materials to ensure reliability of critical components during high-speed operation.

LCP materials from Polyplastics, featuring low dielectric loss and high-frequency performance, meet the demands for 5G/6G and high-speed data transmission, widely used in connectors, antennas, and fiber optic equipment.

Medical devices, such as syringes and drug delivery systems, have strict demand in safety and precision. Polyplastics’ high-purity and chemical-resistant materials comply with strict medical industry certifications provide solutions for this application.

In the innovative 3D printing field, Polyplastics has introduced cutting-edge LCP 3D printing technology for manufacturing precision connectors while maintaining LCP’s excellent mechanical properties. Additionally, powdered engineering plastics with fine and narrowly distributed particle sizes open new possibilities for SDS 3D printing or coating applications.

Comply with global food contact regulations, Polyplastics’ food-grade engineering plastics are widely used in food packaging, drinking water equipment, and kitchen utensils, ensuring safety and reliability.

Polyplastics will also join the TechTalk Technology Forum on April 17, Day 3 of CHINAPLAS 2025. Experts from the company will present new LCP material solutions in the field of high-speed transmission connectors.

As the parent company of Polyplastics, Daicel will also showcase its latest achievements in Smart Unit and Safety Technologies at CHINAPLAS 2025.

Smart Unit covers materials, manufacturing and safety systems. Daicel develops advanced materials with self-healing and adaptive features for automotive, electronics, and medical applications. Paint protection film (PPF) for automotive and epoxy impregnation resin for EV motor are among Daicel’s smart unit portfolio. Smart manufacturing, such as IoT and AI-based smart manufacturing solutions, to improve production efficiency and product quality, will also be presented. Daicel also introduces smart safety systems for automotive, industrial equipment, and public facilities, ensuring operational safety and stability.
