CHINAPLAS 2025, the 37th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, officially opens today at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, China, under the theme “Transformation·Collaboration·Sustainability”.

Surpassing the scale of the previous editions in Shenzhen, this four-day premier trade fair, running from April 15 to 18, features 4,500 exhibitors from around the globe. The event occupies 380,000 square meters across all 19 halls of the exhibition center, showcasing the latest innovations in plastics and rubber solutions.

A global showcase with 17 theme zones

Besides the nine country and region pavilions—Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Taiwan region (China)—the organizer Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd has also established 17 theme zones throughout the fairgrounds.

CHINAPLAS 2025 showcases three main sectors: machinery and equipment, chemicals and raw materials, and innovative products. In particular, the machinery and equipment sector occupies 70% of the exhibition space, featuring leading global manufacturers of injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and other plastics and rubber processing machines.

Committed to innovation in circular economy

Sustainability and circular economy remain the key focal points at CHINAPLAS 2025, reflecting China's deep commitment to addressing environmental challenges for a more sustainable future.

CHINAPLAS 2025 includes three dedicated theme zones for sustainability and circular economy: Recycling Technology Zone, Recycled Plastics Zone, and Bioplastics Zone. Here, suppliers showcase their latest recycling technologies, recycled materials, and bio-based solutions.

These zones feature renowned recycling machinery manufacturers and sustainable material suppliers, including ALBA, Avian, EREMA, eSun, Faurecia, Jwell, NatureWorks, NGR, Sesotec, Sorema, Starlinger, TOMRA, Veolia, ZERMA, and others.

The VACUREMA-Recycling system of EREMA (Booth: 10B41) accelerates recycling with SafeFlake technology. The process begins by decontaminating flakes, which dry faster than pellets of the same volume. This results in clean, food-contact-compliant rPET pellets produced quickly and with lower energy consumption.

With its new LSP technology, NGR (Booth: 10A65) recycling systems upcycle PET material, leaving it in better condition than raw material. Smart machine connections enhance efficiency and quality through self-monitoring, allowing real-time analysis of machine performance and pellet quality.

Specialized in bio-based materials and eco-solvents, Shenzhen Esun Industrial (Booth: 20A01) mainly offers biodegradable materials and green solvents. The company’s injection grade PLA features wide processing range and is easy for molding, with high rigidity and impact resistance.

Dedicated to smart manufacturing technologies

Smart manufacturing leverages technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize manufacturing processes and improve production efficiency.

At CHINAPLAS 2025, the Injection Molding and Smart Manufacturing Solutions Zone features a wide array of smart manufacturing solutions and machinery.

Visitors can explore how digitalization is transforming manufacturing through exhibits and demonstrations from leading global suppliers, including Arburg, Beckhoff, FANUC, Gimatic, Hong Kong Plastic Machinery Association, JSW, Kawata, KEBA, KraussMaffei, Matsui, Star Seiki, Siemens, and Wittmann, among others.

For instance, KEBA (Booth: 12F75) has bundled its over 30 years of expertise for plastics into the new KeDrive D3 servo converter drive package, a compact and powerful multi-axis drive solution optimized for the use of plastics machines. The comprehensive and cost-optimized drives and motors portfolio provides outstanding flexibility for designing any machine configuration.

Matsui (Booth: 11D31) introduces the Cross-brand AI cloud injection molding solution, addressing factory talent gaps and systematizing on-site manufacturing. It reduces the threshold of injection molding adjustments and trial mold costs through continuous feedback and system AI updates.

Star Seiki (Booth: 11G11) has upgraded its EG-II SERIES robot with higher speed compared to the previous generation through adding smooth movement and speed switching functions. The system now features continuous interval compensation and optimal acceleration and deceleration functions, making it more intelligent.

In addition to state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and machinery, CHINAPLAS 2025 showcases plenty of high-tech plastic materials and solutions, including lightweight polymers, thermoplastic composites, functional additives, photovoltaic films, and packaging films, etc.

China’s PRSI companies shine with high-tech solutions

Notably, CHINAPLAS continues to support the development of Chinese niche companies that adhere to the principles of “Professionalization, Refinement, Specialization, and Innovation (PRSI)” set forth by the Chinese government. A total of 980 exhibitors recognized as PRSI companies are presenting at CHINAPLAS 2025.

These Chinese exhibitors unveil their innovative solutions in advanced machinery and high-performance materials, exemplifying that China is at the forefront of fostering innovation and driving transformation in the global plastics and rubber industries.

For over 40 years, CHINAPLAS has evolved alongside the plastics and rubber industries, becoming a trusted platform for procurement and knowledge sharing. In response to market uncertainties and shifting industry dynamics, CHINAPLAS 2025 prioritizes and fosters collaboration across the upstream and downstream industry chains, supporting the transition to a greener and smarter future.
