During the press conference, LYB executives highlighted the significant progress in implementing the company strategy focused on three pillars: building a profitable Circular & Low Carbon Solutions business, growing and upgrading the core and stepping up performance and culture.

The company presented achievements in its Circulen portfolio, which includes CirculenRecover through mechanical recycling, CirculenRevive through chemical recycling, and CirculenRenew using bio-circular feedstock. These product lines address the growing demand for recycled and bio-based polymers across multiple industries.

“This regulatory framework will drive significant demand for circular solutions, which LYB is uniquely positioned to address, particularly for contact-sensitive applications like food packaging,” she commented.

The company showcased its MoReTec chemical recycling technology, which provides a unique solution for processing pre-sorted mixed plastic waste. The catalytic process achieves more than 80% plastic-to-plastic yield and is estimated to have at least 50% lower carbon footprint compared to fossil-based feedstock processes.

Additionally, LyondellBasell also presented case studies featuring brand owners including Samsonite, Pigeon and TSL Outdoor implementing circular solutions, as well as application-focused innovations for a range of end-markets, including packaging, automotive & mobility and healthcare solutions.
