Adsale Direct | Envalior to debut with game-changing materials at K 2025

Envalior, a global leading engineering materials company, will make its debut at K 2025, with a broad portfolio of sustainable and high-performance products.

 

At the EMG Pre K Press Event, Thomas Brackemeyer, VP Business, Performance Materials, Envalior, unveiled that the company will be focusing three application sectors at K 2025. Reducing environmental impact will be a central theme, with applications made from bio- or recycled-based sources on display.

Mobility

 

The highlights for mobility applications include:

  • Pocan PBT for high-voltage connectors

  • All thermoplastic hydrogen tank (injection, roto- and blow molding)

  • Xytron PPS for e-powertain components

  • Stanyl PFAS-free for wear & friction applications

  • Lightweight EV motor bracket made of UDea composite tape

Envalior will highlight its new materials for mobility applications at K 2025.  


Mobility and industrial E&E applications require insulation material boost. The new Pocan PBT grade is a game-changer in insulation plastics and is excellent for high-voltage DC applications, according to Envalior.

 

The new grade features balanced properties that meet the requirements of dimensional stability, UL94 V0 @ 0,75mm, hydrolysis resistance, CTI, stable orange color, etc. Sustainable version can be available upon request.  

 

The Xytron PPS grades are suitable for various EV applications. They feature good heat cycling performance needed for ultrafast charging has are available with PFAS-free versions.

 

Electrical & Electronics

 

The highlights for E&E applications include:

  • Pocan PBT for E&E components

  • Ultrathin e-motor stator insulation made with Stanly PA46

  • Sustainable drop-in alternatives for PA6 and PBT in E&E applications

 

Envalior offers a broad portfolio of high-performance polyamide materials for actuator gears and housings. In particular, Stanyl PA46 grades are consistently proven to outperform PA66 and POM. Stanyl grades offer comparable performance but less expensive than PEEK. New PFAS free compounds are now available.

 

Consumer goods

The highlights for the E&E applications include:

  • New Arnitel TPC foaming grades for running shoe midsoles

  • Xytron PPS solutions for home appliances

Three new grades of Arnitel TPC will be introduced for running sole midsoles.  

 

Arnitel TPC elastomer is soft to the touch with a lightweight structure and rubber-like strength and flexibility. Compared to TPU, midsoles made with Arnitel demonstrate a 17% higher rebound.

 

The material also exhibits extremely low energy loss after foaming, enhancing the wear performance of midsoles to ensure shoes offer reliable foot support. It also demonstrates sustainability as the solution are available in low carbon footprint, renewable source or bio-based grades. The Arnitel-based midsoles can also be recycled.

 

At K 2025, Envalior will be introducing three new grades for Arnitel TPC, boosting the UV resistance, processability, and impact performance of the material.
