Brückner to highlight Greenline and Standard Data Interface at K 2025

At K 2025, Brückner will showcase its key innovations for film stretching lines, including Greenline for saving energy and raw materials, digital solution, as well as new solutions for the technical films.

Greenline for saving energy and raw materials

 

Aims to maximize efficiency, the Greenline concept for BO systems features use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, direct fluff dosing, heat recovery unit 2.0, exhaust air purification system, and high-temperature heat pump.

 

The 12m line concept also increases productivity and efficiency for the lowest specific energy consumption.

 

Higher production and material efficiency with an advanced solution to increase direct fluff dosing. New software solutions now allow the maximum possible amount of production waste to be fed inline into the BO process at any given time. This also reduces energy consumption as this waste does not have to be re-granulated.

 

The heat recovery unit 2.0 maximizes energy efficiency and significantly reduces operating costs by capturing and reusing waste heat more effectively than ever before. The energy-rich exhaust air is fed into the heat recovery unit, where thermal energy is transferred to the fresh air drawn in via a special heat transfer medium.

 

Exhaust air purification system is integrated into the BO process from a single source and ideally coordinated. In the first stage, the exhaust air is cleaned using a scrubber; in the second stage, gaseous hydrocarbons are separated from the exhaust air using an electrostatic precipitator.

 

The high-temperature heat pump improves waste heat recovery. This patented solution uses waste heat after passive heat recovery at a low energy level and raises it to a usable energy level. This reduces operating costs and significantly improves the CO2 balance.

 

Standard Data Interface (SDI) for digitalization

 

Standard Data Interface (SDI) provides a plug-and-play connection of Brückner stretching lines to the customer's own IT systems.

 

SDI allows seamless integration of plant data into customer systems such as dashboards, production planning or ERP using a simple and efficient connection. With use of OPC UA standard, data and protocols are quickly implemented. It eliminates potential sources of error by standardizing the protocol and the data read out.

 

This solution also features seamless integration of plant data into customer systems such as dashboards, production planning or ERP using a simple and efficient connection. With simplified IT architecture with just a single interface to all relevant data from a Brückner film stretching line, the solution features reduced complexity.

 

SDI is available for Brückner’s every stretching line generation, with simple upgrade for Brückner’s older lines. The standard also allows the connection of lines from other manufacturers.

 

New solutions for technical films production

 

Brückner introduces lines for battery separator films with 8.7m usable film width, which is the widest separator film lines in the world, with an annual output of up to 500 million m² and with consistent film quality.

Other solutions include extremely thin films down to 2 microns, as well as sequential and simultaneous lines for capacitor films and current collector films with a line width of up to 8.4m for EV applications or films with high energy density for renewable energy applications in the energy industry.
