Dalian Rubber & Plastics Machinery handed first locally-produced PP compounding machine

Recently, China’s first locally-produced 450,000-ton PP compounding, extrusion, pelletizing machine have passed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at the Yingchengzi site of Dalian Rubber & Plastics Machinery.

China’s first locally-produced 450,000-ton PP compounding, extruding, pelletizing machine from Dalian Rubber & Plastics Machinery have passed FAT.

The machine is specifically designed for Dushanzi Petrochemical, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), for the second phase of its ethylene project in Tarim, which aims for productivity of 1.2 million tons per year.

Based on expert assessment, the machine features reasonable structure, excellent outlook quality. It also passes key standards such as cooling, heating, and performance testing.

As China’s first locally produced machine of its type, the machine targets on multiple technological challenges. It also performs outstandingly in innovation, stability, and dependency.

With this locally produced machine, the cost and supply cycle time is significantly reduced, compared to imported machines. This machine also fills the technological gap in China, showing that China is able to achieve international standards in supplying large-scale compounding equipment. Aiming to lead the global market, China is also accelerating its development in local production of high-end polyolefin equipment.

The machine is dedicated to Dushanzi Petrochemical’s Ethylene project in Tarim. This project is a key project of CNPC, demonstrating its green and low-carbon development through integration of upstream and downstream sectors.

Apart from the machine handed over to Dushanzi Petrochemical, another two 450,000-ton PP compounding, pelletizing machine from Dalian Rubber & Plastics Machinery have also entered into the final assembly stage.
