K 2025: CMG to roll out new large granulator for post-consumer recycling

CMG Granulators will be exhibiting at K 2025 with its latest generation recycling solutions. The company provides granulators, shredders, advanced evacuation and dedusting systems that ensure maximum cleanliness, consistent quality and repeatable performance.

 

New EV 92-220: Transform waste into value at scale

 

CMG’s highlight at K2025 will be the global debut of the EV 92-220 model of the EV Evolution Series. Designed for heavy-duty applications and massive volume streams for large-scale plastics recycling plants, the high-output and powerful granulator features a revolutionary cutting chamber architecture and advanced control integration, for enhanced reliability under extreme operational loads.

 

The EV Series is the next-generation line of granulation systems engineered specifically for post-consumer plastics, focusing on energy efficiency, performance, and innovation. Each model is optimized to reduce energy utilization by up to 50% compared to conventional granulators, achieved through advanced cutting geometries, unique rotor design, and intelligent drive systems.

The EV Evolution Series is developed specifically for post-consumer plastics recycling.

 

New GT line: Designed for thermoforming

 

The newly designed GT granulator series will also be presented. Suitable for grinding sheets, skeletal sheets and reject parts, it includes four models that can handle applications ranging from 200 to 1,000 kg/h.

 

A key feature of the GT series is its blade design. The rotor blades are set at a steep angle of 50° relative to the bed blade. This design ensures precise cutting, uniform regrind size, low noise levels, and minimal dust production.

 

The cutting chamber is assembled using a "bolt & dowel" method, eliminating the need for cast or welded components. All parts are machined for precise assembly within 0.01 millimeters.

 

All GT models have a low profile and are sound-enclosed, allowing them to be placed directly under the finished product conveyor belt while keeping the production area as quiet as possible.

New evacuation & dedusting systems: Operate under full vacuum

 

CMG will also introduce the new range of evacuation, dedusting and powder containment system solutions. The entire new range starts with a capacity of 200 kg/h and offers 10 different sizes, reaching up to an impressive 7,000 kg/h.

 

These systems operate under full vacuum, which means the regrind material is safely removed from the granulator and gently transported to a cyclone receiver through a dedusting chamber, all under negative pressure.

 

Using negative pressure has several benefits. It prevents dust and small particles from forming due to friction against the conveying pipe walls and avoids impact with the blower impeller blades.

 

The regrind is then collected in a storage bin, gaylord, or big bag, while the dusty air is managed by a specially designed automatic self-cleaning filter unit.
