K 2025 Live: Kiefel impresses with innovations in rPET and fiber packaging

Oct 11, 2025

Kiefel, a member of the Brückner Group and a specialist in thermoforming and joining technologies, captivates visitors with its extensive portfolio at the K 2025 fairgrounds. Two innovative technology solutions particularly stand out at the Kiefel booth.

New SPEEDFORMER KTR 6.2 Speed sets standards

Kiefel is showcasing the new SPEEDFORMER KTR 6.2 Speed tilting machine, designed for optimized material consumption and enhanced line performance. This advanced machine produces high-quality cups from various materials, including recycled PET (rPET).

Visitors to the booth can discover how recyclability and premium design can seamlessly merge in cup production.

The machine excels with several newly developed features, including two pending patents: the intelligent SpeedGuard film guide and the high-performance ProSpacing system, which ensures increased output even when handling diverse product geometries. Together, these features offer a unique blend of automation, efficiency, and flexibility.

Fiber Packaging taken to next level

Kiefel is also showcasing its advancements in the natural fiber sector with the NATUREFORMER KFT Lab machine, which produces highly functional margarine shells from pulp using the new Double-Dip Process in the wet fiber process.

This food-compliant packaging boasts superior barrier properties for oils and fats through mono-material layers, making it suitable for recycling within the circular economy.

Additionally, Kiefel is presenting its new dry-fiber technology. This solution enables the production of market-ready applications such as trays, beverage lids, and technical packaging directly from paper off the roll, achieving an impressive annual output of up to 70 million pieces for common requirements.

These two technologies demonstrate that sustainability requires intelligent, complementary solutions tailored to each specific application.
