Partnership formed to cut energy costs across Malaysia and Thailand

Nov 20, 2025

Univers, a global AI and IoT platform leader, and Amcharge Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia-based renewable energy solutions provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to help cut energy costs in industrial and commercial sectors, integrate cleaner energy, and accelerate their net zero progress across Malaysia and Thailand.

“Malaysia and Thailand are rapidly growing industrial centers, and AI will be essential to help businesses manage rising energy costs and achieve Net Zero ambitions,” said Michael Ding, Global Executive Director of Univers.

With Univers’ AIoT platform EnOS and its ready-to-use applications EnOS Renewables and EnOS Microgrid, factories and large facilities will be able to control rising energy costs, improve system reliability, adopt renewable energy more effectively and accelerate progress toward national net zero ambitions.

Combined with Amcharge’s on-ground delivery capabilities and strong presence in Malaysia’s manufacturing ecosystem, the partnership will help industries in Malaysia and Thailand modernize their energy systems and strengthen long-term competitiveness.

“Customers are looking for practical ways to reduce energy costs and meet sustainability goals. By combining Univers’ AIoT technology with our on-ground delivery capabilities, we can bring scalable, high-impact solutions to industries across Malaysia and Thailand,” added Lee Yeet Chuan, Chief Executive Officer of Amcharge.

As part of the first phase, both companies will identify up to four pilot manufacturing sites in 2025 to demonstrate the measurable impact of AI-enabled optimization, with an initial focus on maximum demand (MD) management, energy efficiency and renewable energy integration. These pilots will serve as reference projects for broader deployment across industrial estates and commercial portfolios.

The partnership will tap into Univers’ Global Impact AI Lab to fast-track new AI innovations for industrial customers, with solutions built in Singapore designed to scale across Malaysia, Thailand and beyond.
