Second-generation Universal PCR TPEs from KRAIBURG TPE receive Environmental Claim Validation (ECV) from UL Solutions.
“The demand for materials with verifiable proportions of recyclates is constantly increasing. At the same time, brand manufacturers, the retail sector and consumers expect transparent and reliable information about the origin and composition of the materials used,” said Magdalena Michl, Product Manager at KRAIBURG TPE.
Second-generation Universal PCR TPEs
With second-generation Universal PCR TPEs, KRAIBURG TPE is enabling brand manufacturers to increase the use of post-consumer recyclates in consumer and industry applications.
Like the first generation, the second-generation Universal PCR TPEs were also designed to meet the requirements of many consumer and industry applications in relation to surface feel, surface quality and processability.
Typical areas of application are razor handles, protective caps, anti-slip elements, dog toys and feeding mats, as well as applications in the sports and recreation sector.
Independent validation to ensure transparency and traceability
The independent validation by UL Solutions provides transparency with regard to the proportion of recycled material used as well as a reliable basis for documenting material properties along the value chain.
The verification of recyclate content is becoming more and more important for manufacturers. In addition to regulatory developments, the requirements of customers and of the retail sector regarding the transparency of material flows and resource use are increasing. Validation can help companies document the use of post-consumer recyclates and prove relevant material specifications along the supply chain.
