Italian government officials and Ed Morgan, Plastipak CEO, attended the October 14 opening ceremony.

Plastipak invested more than EUR 25 million in the PET Material Center, reinforcing its commitment to material innovation and circular economy solutions.

The center builds on the company’s expertise across recycling, resin production, preforms and packaging manufacturing, giving customers practical solutions to advance their packaging goals.

pakPET Single Pellet Solution combines virgin PET performance with built-in recycled content in a single, ready-to-use resin. Its single-pellet formulation simplifies processing and supports consistent packaging performance, helping customers integrate recycled content into existing PET operations.

pakPET Single Pellet Solution offers:

• 30% recycled content built into a single pellet

• Consistent packaging performance with drop-in compatibility for existing PET operations

• Simplified processing and qualification to support manufacturing efficiency

• Food-contact approval for applicable packaging applications

• Certified post-consumer feedstock traceability through EN15343 certification

The resin is suitable for a range of applications, including food and beverage containers, home and personal care packaging, pharmaceutical packaging and thermoforming.

The PET Material Center strengthens Plastipak’s ability to connect recycling expertise with material innovation. By developing ready-to-use resin solutions, Plastipak helps customers make informed packaging decisions and supports a circular economy where materials are recovered and used again.
