In the last episode of this series, BOROUGE talked about “How to address the challenges of sustainable materials”:
1. In the face of global sustainable development, what is the biggest challenge as a raw material supplier of plastics?
2. Is there any difference in promoting the application of sustainable materials across countries?
3. The performance of recycled plastics materials has always been concerned. How can plastics industry improve it?
4. How is the experience of material supplier in promoting a circular economy for plastics?
On the road to the circular economy, different countries and regions are at different stages, they have different economies, policies, consumption patterns and recycling infrastructures, so there are gaps, said Eddie Wang, Senior Vice President Asia North, BOROUGE.
He expects the gaps will be narrowed. Take China as an example. In the big cities, such as Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, the infrastructure and policies are reaching the European and US levels, he said.
