佛山市南方包装有限公司（Southern Packaging）研发副总监张桂祥在第九届CPRJ塑料包装技术论坛暨展示会上通过丰富的案例分析了调味品塑料包装的设计与运用。他表示调味品的包装重点关注视觉效果、保护和延长内容物的保存期以及方便流通、便于携带。

调味品的包装一般要经过策划、市场调研、平面设计、结构设计、工艺路线设计、模具设计、测试及验证以及量产等步骤。如倒置挤出调味酱瓶整体方案设计灵感来源于“蚝油的粘稠度，在倒出流动时形成一层层的堆积感”，通过瓶身厚度打造舒适的挤压手感，高透明度堪比玻璃；大翻盖可平稳站立于货架和桌面，单手单指开启方式使用更加便捷。
