rPET也可造积木？乐高还在测试中

乐高集团正在尝试用rPET造积木。150多位材料科学家和工程师，历时3年，测试了250多种PET材料和数百种塑料配方，得到了一种可以满足质量、安全和游戏标准的材料配方。
这些rPET材料来自于一家美国供应商，他们采用经过美国食品和药物管理局（FDA）和欧洲食品安全局（EFSA）认证的工艺进行加工制造。一个1升容量的塑料PET瓶可以为10块2cm×4cm的乐高积木提供足够的原料。
正在申请专利的材料配方增加了PET的耐久性，使其足够坚固，适合乐高积木。这一创新工艺采用定制复合技术，将回收的PET与增强添加剂结合起来。
这一材料配方目前依然处于测试阶段，离制成乐高积木上市销售还有一段时间距离。研究团队表示需要对该配方进行评估，看是否能进入试产阶段。下一段测试预计至少需要一年时间。
