SACMI, ready-to-market cap-neck solutions

SACMI presents some of the more recently developed solutions now available on the market, starting with the new 26 mm cap-neck systems in which SACMI - working alongside major brand owners and certification bodies - leads the world.

• The GME 30.37 standard neck for CSD products weighs just 2.4 g and can be used in combination with the 1.65 g Premium cap up to 8.4 g/L of CO2. 

  
  

• New lightweight neck-cap solutions for bottles up to 3 liters (e.g. the 30.40 experimental neck in combination with our 1.75 g hinged cap). 

  
  

• Ultra-light 26 mm still water cap for GME 30.28, which weighs 1.0 g and can be produced at 2,000 cpm using compression machines. SACMI’s lightest water cap: the 0.8 g cap, designed for 30.39 necks.

  
  

• The lightweight approach sees the 29/25 mm 2.4 g neck used in combination with the ultra-light short cap (1.2 g) as well as with a higher closure, which is just as easy to handle as the previous 30 mm version but weighs just 1.45 g.

How have we responded to the EU Single Use Plastic standard, when dealing with shorter and lighter caps?

- Delta Hinged solution: the slitting tools include two horizontal blades and vertical cutters;

- ThisCap? Hold-Open: requires multiple blades and opening angles in the range of 180°.
