Online Live Series: The recycling market reviving, says EREMA
There was a reduction in demand for recycling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the demand has been coming up again, commented Michael Heitzinger, Managing Director at EREMA Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen Ges.m.b.H., in the interview for “Industry And Market Outlook: Talk with Market Leaders”.
Post-consumer recycling sector performed very well in Europe, the US and China last year, Mr. Heitzinger expects that it will continue to grow. He also remarked that PET bottle recycling will be a strong driver in the market.
Meanwhile, Mr. Heitzinger said he never thought digitalization would come so fast in an urgent situation. Digitalization will therefore a big focus of EREMA, and the company will accelerate the development of remote systems to support users.
